Temporary ban of drone operations for the Griffin project

Drones are prohibited in the geographical zone« Griffin » with the following dimensions:

1°   vertical limits: from the ground to a height of 200 m;

2°   lateral limits: a strip of 800 meters on either side along the path of the UAS, as specified in the appendix to the regulation.

This geographical zone may be activated Wednesdays or Thursdays between 7.00 am and 9.30 am until 14 February 2025.

UAS flights are prohibited in this geographical zone when it is activated, with the exception of Luxembourg Air Ambulance S.A. drones.

This prohibition shall not apply to the following specific operations carried out in the public interest:

1. military, police and customs missions;

2. traffic surveillance and pursuits;

3. search and rescue;

4. medical flights;

5. evacuations;

6. fire-fighting.

However, it is required that prior coordination with Luxembourg Air Ambulance S.A. be carried out for these operations.
