Flight ban in part of the airspace on 13, 14, 22 and 23 June 2024 to mark National Day

As part of the National Day celebrations on 23 June and in preparation for them, the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works has banned all flights by drones and aircraft operating under visual flight rules on the following dates and in the following airspaces:

  • VFR flights, with the exception of those taking part in the flypast, and unmanned aircraft operations are prohibited on 13 June 2024 and 14 June 2024 in "WEST" airspace and in the CTR, during the activation of "WEST" airspace.
  • In "CITY" airspace, VFR flights, with the exception of those taking part in the air show or having received instructions to the contrary from air traffic control, as well as flights by aircraft without crew on board, with the exception of those taking part in the air show, are prohibited:
    • on 22 June 2024 from 14:00 hours ;
    • on 23 June 2024.
  • In the "CITY NORTH" and "EUROPE" airspaces, the movements of aircraft without crew on board, with the exception of those taking part in the flypast, are prohibited:
    • on 22 June 2024 from 14:00 hours ;
    • on 23 June 2024.
  • On 23 June 2024 between 11:00 and 14:00, VFR flights, with the exception of those taking part in the flypast, and unmanned aircraft operations are prohibited in the following airspaces:
    • WEST" airspace;
    • the CTR
  • The prohibitions set out in the preceding paragraphs do not apply to the following special operations carried out in the public interest:
    • police and customs missions ;
    • traffic surveillance and pursuits ;
    • medical flights ;
    • search and rescue ; 
    • fire-fighting.
