Launch of the declaration procedures for standard scenarios (STS) and the associated examination

The 1st January 2024 marked the end of the transition period as well as the implementation of the Standard Scenarios (STS-01 and STS-02).

The DAC is pleased to announce that the declaration procedures for the European standard scenario(STS)  and the associated STS examination are now available.

• The procedures are available in English, French and German;
• Two types of procedure are available:
  • The declaration to operate according to a standard scenario (STS); and
  • The declaration to provide (and evaluate) training for a standard scenario (STS).

An examination is compulsory for pilots wishing to operate in a standard scenario (STS). This examination is offered by the DAC for holders of an OPEN A1/A3 or OPEN A2 certificate.
