In accordance with article 71.1 of the Regulation 2018/1139 on common rules in the field of civil aviation and establishing a European Union Aviation Safety Agency and given the state of crisis as declared by the Government of Luxembourg as well as the confinement measures in the fight against Covid-19, the Direction de l’aviation civile has granted exemptions to air operators, pilots, crew members and ATCOs regarding the validity of their certificates, authorizations, licenses, ratings etc. Futhermore an extension of full implementation of the new licensing requirements for balloon & sailplane pilots.
All exemptions granted by the DAC, which have been transmitted to EASA, are summarized in the documents attached. Other exemptions might be granted depending on the further development of the situation related to the Covid-19 crisis.
