Situation before 2022
On December 31, 2020, the national system for managing UAS operating permits was replaced by European Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/947 of May 24, 2019 concerning the rules and procedures applicable to the operation of unmanned aircraft (UAS).
From December 31, 2020, several scenarios were possible, such as, the option to:
- Fly with a national generic authorization
- Fly under the OPEN Limited category
- Fly under the OPEN category (drones marked class "C")
- Fly under a Specific Operational Authorization
